History of the College
Pacific comprehensive College was established in October 1994 as a co-educational Day and Boarding High School. The College provides an all round quality education that guarantees development of the body and mind for deserving primary school leavers.

Sited on a two acre land in the quiet Bammeke Area of Shasha, Akowonjo , in Lagos State, the college provides a serene atmosphere for leaning far from the hustle and bustle of the city.

The college is conceived as a medium sized school for an effective overall supervision and coordination which guarantees personalized attention to each student.

The college has been a success story in terms of producing quality students with high success rate, 100% at the Junior School Certificate Examinations (JSCE) level and over 85% in the Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE). The College has over 80% admission rate into tertiary institutions.

The College has boarding facilities for over 300 students while transportation is also available for day students.

The College admits students to Junior Secondary, (grade 7) Senior Secondary (grade 10) and the Sixth form (A/L) programme which gives our graduates the opportunity of easy transition to tertiary institutions.

The College has also from the 2006/2007 academic session introduced the Nursery & Basic School (Nursery & Primary).

         GENERAL OBJECTIVES
         On inception, the college was to among other things serve the following purpose:

• To provide primary school leavers opportunity for high quality secondary education at an affordable cost.

• To provide a total education of the body and mind by exposure to all Arts, Science,  Commercial and Prevocational subjects.

• To prepare students for Certificate Examinations both Nationally and Internationally.

  SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

• To provide high quality secondary education for pupils in the junior and senior level in line with National Policy on Education.

• To prepare students for the Junior Secondary Certificate Examination (JSCE) which is now the Universal basic Certificate Examination (UBCE).

CURRICULUM
In line with the National Policy on Education and in order to achieve our set objectives the school curriculum includes academic and pre-vocational subjects which are intended to enable pupils acquire basic knowledge and develop skills.

We cover all basic arts, Commercial and Science subjects. The college laboratories are fully equipped to meet the demands of the A/L and O/L science programmes. The curriculum is uniquely defined to enable our students develop and realize their full potentials.

The curriculum intends to produce children that are proud of their Nigerian heritage and are global in outlook.

Apart from the basic Science, Arts And social Science subjects taught vocational course include sports, Drama, Arts & culture Music, Home Economics, ICT, Introductory Technology and Technical Drawing. This is to cater for the interest of students who are less academically inclined but can excel in other areas.

CLASS SIZE
For effective teaching and reach, the class size by design is limited to a maximum of twenty five students.
